Steve Chou: BizSugar Contributor of the Week

We’re pleased to welcome Steve Chou, BizSugar “Contributor of the Week” on Facebook to the list of BizSugar members we’ve profiled for their efforts.

The “Contributor of the Week” is our way of thanking BizSugar members who have “liked” our Facebook fan page and make what we think is a really cool contribution to BizSugar.com. Read more about how you can be eligible here.

Steve and his wife started their online business for a very specific reason. The motivation for the startup was a decision Steve’s wife made to quit her day job after becoming pregnant with their first child. They created BumbleBeeLinens.com, selling personalized wedding handkerchiefs and other products including linen napkins and table linens for special occasions.

With what Steve calls a “crash course” in Web development, he and his wife managed to hit their 100K earning goal by the end of their first year and the business has grown in double and triple digits ever since.

Hoping to help others see similar success with online ventures, Steve launched his blog MyWifeQuitHerJob.com and earlier this year created a complete online course to teach the couple’s battle-tested online business techniques at profitableonlinestore.com.

He says he discovered BizSugar by accident and started using it to promote his brand:

“It was through a reader of my blog that I discovered BizSugar which has been a godsend,” Steve explained. “I love BizSugar because it’s a place where so many like-minded entrepreneurs can gather and share their experiences. It’s also a great outlet for me to spread the word and engage with other business owners who have similar goals. In a nutshell, Bizsugar serves as an incredible distribution channel for the entire business community and I’m very thankful that it exists.”

Thanks, Steve!
