Why should every small business and freelancer consider podcasting? Check out these 2019 statistics from Podcast Insights:
- 51% of the U.S. population has listened to a podcast
- 49% listen at home
- 22% listen in a car
That surprises me as I would have thought most podcast listeners do so during their commute time.

We hear a lot about repurposing blog posts. Do a lot of podcasters repurpose their podcasts, too? If so, what should someone consider?
David: Thanks for your comment! Repurposing a podcast episode is not as common as reusing blog post material, but you could see examples of it, for example during off-season, holidays, and during vacation breaks.
All the Best,
Martin
Thanks for this post. I had not considered either being on a podcast as a guest or even starting one myself focusing on different ways to market local business. Now I am seriously considering it.
Nice work!
Hi Jerry,
A huge percentage of people in your target audience listen to podcasts. It is one more way to reach them. And they look good on your press page, increasing your credibility as an expert in your niche.
Hey Martin,
Greetings from Hyderabad, India,
Hey, man how come I missed this?
Today I find this link from your latest podcast.
I appreciate you for sharing this, in fact, somehow I missed to attend the session here too.
Anyways, today I found everything at one go.

Hi Philip,
You can always listen to paste podcast episodes and everything we do in BizSugar is preserved for later review.
Appreciate you share this podcast just found somewhere on internet.
I’m so glad you wrote this article! I’ve been wanting to start a podcast for a while but I wasn’t sure where to start.
