Meet Rajat Chauhan, Digital Marketing Head at Techtic Solutions, Inc.

He has a wide range of interests including:

  • web development
  • collaboration opportunities
  • outsourcing
  • mobile conversions
  • business growth

Your questions can go well beyond simply how to design your sites mobile user experience (UX). Getting it to convert better is important, too. And who wouldn’t be interested in finding growthhacks that can increase your income faster?

How is Your Site’s Current Mobile User Experience (UX)?

Here are some questions you should ask yourself and your team:

  1. Are your mobile conversions as high as your desktop conversions or higher? Would you like tips on how to increase them?
  2. What is your process for testing your web pages and apps? Have you tested all browsers (not just 1 or the top couple)? And all device types?
  3. Are the fonts you’re using large, readable, and supported by the majority of web browsers?
  4. Did you know that in many countries, cellphones do not have touchscreens? Are you designing for both touchscreen and non-touchscreen users?
  5. Have you realized that many mobile devices don’t have back buttons? Are you using additional navigation so they can get where they want to go?
  6. Are the buttons and other clickable objects on your site large enough? They need to be far enough apart to be easy to use on the smallest mobile devices.
  7. When you lay out your pages, do you take what will appear first on mobile devices into consideration?

Improving the above is a good place to start. Let’s find out from Rajat what the current best practices are.

Improving Mobile User Experiences

The first step is to truly understand how mobile and desktop user experiences differ. My pet peeve is the myriad of sites that are so focused on designing for mobile that they are not nearly as user-friendly on desktop.

Can your site be just as good for both? Let’s find out. Our members asked Rajat some great questions, so we have plenty of advice on how we can improve our own sites.
