Belinda Weaver offers words of wisdom for your small business marketing.
In 2009, Weaver started Copywrite Matters in order to help other small business owners achieve a level of control, flexibility and freedom over their marketing content.
Weaver says she came to marketing late in her career.
“I actually started my career in IT and when I discovered marketing, I knew it was something I should have been doing all along,” Weaver says.
When she started her career in the marketing field, Weaver felt like she had come home.
“We confidently walk the line between creating engaging brand personalities and effective copywriting, knowing that with the right words you don’t have to choose between them,” Weaver explains.
Weaver says she has focused her energy on inspiring her business clients to create bold marketing content.
It is content that focuses on developing long term business relationships rather than just short term sales.
“Before venturing out on my own, I was a marketing nut working as a Marketing Coordinator in Australia and in England,” Weaver says.
Today, she uses her long work experience in the marketing world to show small business how they can make world class marketing work for them.
Living about an hour outside Melbourne, one of the first things Weaver did was to ditch her two plus hours of commuting in and out of the city.
It’s something she thinks she has in common with many of her clients, creating a family friendly environment of work while building a very professional brand.
One tools Weaver finds particularly helpful is BizSugar, and that’s what has made her an active member of the community and a BizSugar Contributor of the Week.
“I love being able to bring my marketing background into the copy I write for business owners, uncovering their unique brand personality and digging into what they really offer their customers,” Weaver adds.
“I love BizSugar for the variety of articles,” says Weaver. “I often find myself strolling through a number of topics and articles after I’ve read the one I started on. They all offer great advice and perspective. I also enjoy the community. As a solo-business owner I relish the chance to connect with people on social media and on sites like BizSugar.”
