Diane Seltzer @SBMarketingTool Talks Marketing Impact

Diane Seltzer believes you don’t have to be a big business to make a big impact. With that philosophy in mind, Seltzer launched Small Business Marketing Tools.

The site offers marketing resources and strategy advice for small companies seeking to make an outsized impression.

“Big or small, every business can benefit from good tools that provide a big bang for your buck,” she explains. “But of course this is especially important for small businesses with limited budgets to market and grow their business. This idea of showcasing resources to make marketing easier and more cost-effective was the original inspiration for my site.”

Seltzer has already become a bit of a star in the small business community. A veteran of the corporate marketing world, she left that career to lend small business her experience and expertise.

This year, her book PR Tools to Toot Your Own Horn – Strategies and Ideas for Small Business Public Relations was a winner of the Small Business Book Awards for marketing run by BizSugar’s sister site Small Business Trends.

Seltzer describes the book as a do-it-yourself guide to public relations strategies. It also shares free download tools for creating press releases and media outreach plans created and used by Seltzer in her own PR efforts.

Seltzer also keeps her hand in the game as marketing director for small business SureShade. The company manufactures retractable sunshades for the boating industry. She combines her love of marketing and boating with the unique site Marine Marketing Tools.

Seltzer has been a member of the BizSugar community since 2010. She says she believes it is the best place online to share small business marketing best practices.

“BizSugar makes it easy to stay on top of the latest trends for small business, enabling me to quickly determine the most valuable content through its sugar votes,” Seltzer says. “And I love when people give me some sugar and make one of my recent posts hot – it’s nice validation that I am contributing something of real value to the small business community.”

Participate in the BizSugar community and perhaps someday you and your business can be featured as a Contributor of the Week just like Seltzer.
