Rahul Varshneya @rahulvarshneya Helps You Get Started

If you want to know what not to do when starting a business, Rahul Varshneya is your go to guy. Of course, he can also give you advice on what you should do as well.

“I’ve spent my entire career either starting businesses or working for startups. The successes were great of course, but the failures are where I really learned,” Varshneya says.

Varshneya started his first company while still in college and three more after graduating, all ending in failure but each teaching him another valuable lesson along the way.

Success came with Arkenea Technologies, founded with a partner and work associate. The company would be more than just Varshneya’s first big startup success. It would also help him share what he had learned by providing a service to help other entrepreneurs launch their apps and Websites successfully.

“Being entrepreneurs ourselves, we could identify the challenges faced by entrepreneurs and not only do we develop apps and websites, but also provide entrepreneurs with go-to-market strategies, customer and business insights, and insights on how they can best market their startup. All of this we do pro-bono,” he explains.

As if all this wasn’t enough, Varshneya launched www.rahulvarshneya.com as a way to “pay it forward”, sharing his experiences and providing insight to other entrepreneurs who are just getting started.

“I know the thrill of landing the first client or hiring the first employee,” Varshneya says. “I know what it’s like to figure out how to reach out to your target segment and decide on what messaging will work. I can honestly say, ‘Been there, done that,’ to just about any aspect of entrepreneurship.”

What sticks with him the most are the people who have crossed his path over his fourteen-plus years as an entrepreneur who have helped him to succeed or who have been there to help rescue him from personal and professional failure. He hopes to be there in the same way for others following their own entrepreneurial dreams.

“I may not have all of the answers, but I can certainly help entrepreneurs find the answers they may need to be successful and avoid the common pitfalls of starting up,” Varshneya says.

In his efforts to spread his message of help to startup entrepreneurs, Varshneya has used such tools as the BizSugar community.
