Brad Smith Fixes Your Marketing Plan @BradleyESmith

The founder of FixCourse likes to do just what the name of his Website implies, fix your business to increase revenue with a focus on inbound marketing.

Smith’s equation for small business success is pretty simple: Content Marketing + SEO + Social + Email Marketing.

“I start with the company’s goal (like get more customers, leads, etc.), then create a strategy that makes sense for their business and target audience, and then help them execute tactics to get more website traffic, leads, and sales,” he says, explaining his approach.

It’s a process he’s been honing since launching his consultancy after earning his MBA last year, and it has paid off pretty well so far.

“We were working with a company in one of my last classes, and they were pleased with the analysis and recommendations,” Smith explains.

So pleased, in fact, that after the course was over the company called him for further consultation, and the rest, as they say, is history.

Smith’s MBA program at Concordia University, Irvine, posted an overview of the program he participated in on their Website.

Smith’s class project had him advising the OC Register about how to increase the online readership of some of the newspaper’s columnists. But more than just advice, Smith and other students were given advertising budgets to promote the paper’s online presence and its columnists.

Smith and his class worked with writers to increase their page views and social media presence by showing them how to include popular search phrases in appropriate articles, create relationships with other sites devoted to the same subject, and reach out to readers via Twitter, Facebook and online promotions.

After Smith’s presentation, he was hired by the Register as a consultant. He now works with other clients to increase their online presence.

Today, Smith says he uses tools like BizSugar to increase his own presence online.

“I use BizSugar to increase the reach of my content, build my own brand visibility, and stay on top of the latest trends. It also gives me the perfect opportunity to reach a great audience who’s eager for valuable information,” Smith explains.
