Building a Small Business From Your Writing Talents

Our latest BizSugar Contributor of the Week brings something unique to the table, a business model more entrepreneurs might consider to maximize their writing abilities.

When Stephanie Chandler left her Silicon Valley job in 2003, it was to enter small business with the opening her own bookstore.

The move had two major impacts on Chandler:

1.) It ignited a passion for small business marketing that has stuck with her to this day.

2.) It led to her to launch BusinessInfoGuide.com, a site dedicated to educate others about the possibilities of life after corporate America.

Stephanie describes herself as an avid blogger and an advocate of marketing with authenticity and delivering value to audience and customers.

She would later put these philosophies to work when she sold her bookstore to launch her own non-fiction publishing company AuthorityPublishing.com

Among the titles for which Chandler is responsible as an author are LEAP! 101 Ways to Grow Your Business and From Entrepreneur to Infopreneur and her most recent title out in January Own Your Niche: Hype-Free Internet Marketing Tactics to Establish Authority in Your Field and Promote Your Service-Based Business.

“One of the many strategies recommended in the book is to participate in BizSugar!” Chandler insists. (Wow! Thanks for the ink, Stephanie!)

Is there a special talent you could transform into a product or service for your business? Perhaps you have writing or artistic talents, public speaking ability or some special knowledge or expertise others would value.

Start thinking about how this talent could transformed into a product or service for your business (or perhaps a whole business model in itself!)
