Ashley Neal, Cendrine Marrouat Take Prizes in Rock Your Biz

Two of our previous BizSugar Contributors of the Week, Ashley Neal and Cendrine Marrouat, took the second and fourth prizes in last month’s Rock Your Biz contest.

Here’s a bit more about each of them:

“I enjoy sharing marketing and other tips to assist small business owners with long term success,” says Neal, who is a writing consultant for small business owners and writes, edits, and publishes her own small business news source, Small Biz Diamonds.

Neal says she entered the Rock Your Biz contest in order to share relevant marketing tips with small business owners, her core audience. (OK, we’re gonna assume the nice prizes from our sponsors were a big motivation too.) 🙂

“One article that I submitted [included] tips that I thought would be great to share with small business owners. This article had me thinking–what would the experts say? So, I asked them and that post turned out to be a winner in this contest,” she explains.

Kimberly Crossland was among the experts who contributed to Neal’s article and later her comment on the post was selected as the winning comment of our contest by our team of moderators. That selection made Neal’s post the second place winner in the contest and gave Crossland the third place prize. More on this in a later post.

Cendrine Marrouat, a journalist, reviewer, blogger, content curator, and author living in Winnipeg, Canada, was our fourth place winner and a former BizSugar contributor of the week.

“My initial goal was to finish in the top 5. I knew that my article was good, but I really wasn’t expecting such a huge amount of positive responses!” Marrouat says.

“I am blown away and very grateful to all the people who took the time to vote for and share my entry with others,” she adds.
